Kay is Chairman of Marcuard Trust and a specialist in international tax planning, wealth management and cross-border investment solutions.
Work experience
Kay was Tax Manager with Ernst & Young, advising clients in the fields of Swiss and International Tax Law. As a member of the Financial Service Tax practice, he specialized in legal and tax questions relating to collective investment schemes, in particular private equity and real estate fund structures. Prior to this, he was Trust Manager with Rothschild Trust, responsible for the implementation and management of tax and estate planning structures, such as trusts and foundations. Kay started his professional career in 1997 working for SBC/UBS in Zurich and London as Financial Planner for International Clients.
Education
Kay is a Law School Graduate of the University of Fribourg, Switzerland and earned his Masters in International Tax and Trust Law from King’s College in London, UK. He is also a Swiss Certified Tax Expert and holds the Diploma in International Trust Management (TEP).
He is fluent in German, English and French.
