Marcuard
Founded in 1746, Banque Marcuard became one of the most important finance houses in Europe. After the Napoleonic wars, it continued to play a significant role in the industrial development of modern Switzerland and remained one of the most important Swiss private banks. Following its sale to Credit Suisse in the early 20th century, it then naturally faded from international prominence.
Today, in partnership with Marcuard descendant Hans-Joerg Rudloff, former Chairman and CEO of Credit Suisse First Boston, the Marcuard name is again synonymous with excellence in international finance.
